Radiation = Manned Space Travel Dealbreaker

Only NASA knows why it faked the moon landings, but many have surmised that the radiation of the Van Allen Belts would have killed astronauts in a relatively thin-walled spacecraft. It is estimated that a ship would need walls several feet thick to adequately shield the crew from radiation.  Unfortunately, however, a ship with several feet thick, radiation-proof walls would have been too heavy to get off the launchpad. D’oh!

The Van Allen Belts are not all bad though.  They protect us from the Sun’s lethal radiation and a litany of other cosmic radiation sources while making the Earth uniquely livable for mankind.

What technology was better in 1969 than currently, anyway?

The International Space Station is orbiting 240 miles above the Earth. You can see the bright blue background just like what was seen through the windows of the Apollo capsule in the faked footage. Additionally, our current spaceshuttles can only go 200-400 miles into orbit.

The trip to the Moon is 239,000 miles one way. Are we really supposed to believe they had better manned spaceflight technology in the 1960′s than currently? Given this bit of perspective, we realize that we are not even remotely close to sending (or having been able to have sent) men to the Moon technologically speaking!

Capricorn One(1978): Hollywood allegory for the Phony Apollo Missions?

In 1978, Hollywood released ‘Capricorn One’ a fictional drama/thriller about a series of faked Mars missions, which many feel was an allegory for the Apollo program’s fakes.

I actually scored a copy from Netflix a few years back.  It wasn’t a bad movie.  The first hour was a taught thriller about faked space missions, but it went sharply downhill after that into a bunch of 1970′s style chase scenes featuring film hacks Elliott Gould, James Brolin, Sam Waterston, OJ Simpson and Telly Savalas.(Who loves ya, baby?)

Were the Apollo 1 Astronauts Murdered?

Researchers including the wife and son of Apollo 1 Captain, Virgil ‘Gus’ Grissom, have found a number of anomalies in the ‘official’ Apollo 1 narrative. Grissom was an insider and an outspoken critic of his NASA employers.

Operation ‘Starfish Prime’ tried to poke a hole in the Van Allen Radiation Belts & nearly, inadvertently, Exterminated Humankind!

Here is footage of the US Government’s high altitude nuclear testing in 1962. The alleged purpose of the tests was to determine if US nuclear missiles could intercept Soviet nuclear missiles in Space.

Many have speculated that the testing was actually conducted to see if a ‘hole’ or ‘tunnel’ could be punched in the Earth’s lethal Van Allen Radiation Belts which might allow manned spaceflight to the Moon to proceed.

Thankfully, the tests ultimately failed to punch a hole in or disperse the Van Allen Radiation Belts.  It’s a good thing, too!   One wonders if all human life on Earth would have ceased rapidly without the the Van Allen Belts there to protect us from the Sun’s lethal radiation. In hindsight, maybe we all dodged a humongous bullet when this program ended…

Presumably, after these tests were completed in 1962, NASA knew a manned flight to the Moon would be impossible due to the lethal, unsolvable, space radiation problem.

JFK may have figured out the implications of these tests at some point.  Did he consider ending the futile Moon Race, in favor of a different, less profitable, more realistic Space Program instead of Apollo?  Did this factor into his assassination in 1963?  NASA was/is very much a part of the dreaded ‘Military-Industrial Complex’ that Eisenhower had warned about as he left office.  (‘Ike’, personally, did nothing to fight the ‘undue influence’ of these war profiteers while he was in office, however.)

Who will Fake the next batch of Moon Landings?

The lethal radiation problem will doom their efforts just like NASA’s. Hopefully, US Taxpayers will not be billed for this folly.  American taxpayers were previously billed $25+ Billion (1960′s era ) US Dollars for the Apollo Program.

The Murder of an Apollo whistleblower?

In 1967 Apollo Quality Control Inspector Thomas Ronald Baron wrote a scathing 500 page report on NASA’s incompetence and testified about it in front of a Congressional investigation. Baron and his wife and daughter were dead 8 days later! Not surprisingly, Baron’s report also went missing as well and has never turned up.
